Self Love – 10 ways to Love Yourself
Self love! This is a tricky one! Have you ever asked yourself the question – Do I love myself? Well go ahead and ask yourself right now – Do I love myself? The person that I am, the way I look, my thoughts, my mind, my being – Am I crazy about myself?
Here are 10 ways you can start loving yourself or love yourself even more…
Start your morning with five nice things
As you climb out of bed and look into the mirror in all your early morning ‘no make up’ glory, say five nice things to yourself. Appreciate yourself for your goodness and the things you are proud of.
Set aside ‘me’ time
In a day, set aside some time that is dedicated to you. Use this time to do things that make you happy. Do things you have been wanting to do. Make plans, dream and introspect.
Create your affirmative mantra
Affirmations are a great tool to shift your vibrations. Even after your best efforts, you can’t shake your negative thoughts? Create a positive, uplifting affirmative chant/mantra – and simply replace your negative thoughts with this mantra consciously.
Do good, Be good
Choose kindness, choose compassion. Look for the good in people. What you focus upon, grows. Choose to look at the good and gifts in every situation – there is always a silver lining.
Draw boundaries
Say no to things and people that do not honor you. Anything that is not in sync with you and your values, anyone that does not make you feel good, anything that diminishes you, is not for you. Be brave and choose yourself.
Do away with the clutter
Make a list of all the things and people that serve no purpose in your life anymore. Are you clinging on to something or someone you know is not good for you? Do away with the physical and emotional baggage. Let it go. Reorganize your wardrobe, your room, your life.
Believe that you deserve all good
What you believe becomes true for you. When you believe that you are worthy and deserving of all good, the good comes to you effortlessly. Examine your beliefs – what do you believe you deserve?
Do some inner work
Everything that we are is a result of our inner world and thought patterns. Observe your self talk, explore your relationship with yourself. What words do you choose to reprimand yourself? Where do they come from? What are your beliefs and fears?
Every day is a new day
Bury the past, be present and look forward to the future you want. Focus your attention on what is good, what is working and where you want to go.
I am committed – to myself!
Buy a small piece of jewelry or a piece of art and dedicate it to your commitment to yourself! let it be a promise and a reminder that you love yourself and honor yourself in all aspects of life, in all your choices and decisions.
Wherever you are in your life, love yourself.
